Dragon Chicken Recipe

Chicken is the favorite meal for many people. So this is a must to serve yummy chicken recipes in dine.

Dragon Chicken Recipe is a Chinese version. A good side dish. You can also serve it as a main course with plain rice or Chinese Fried Rice. In this recipe, the sauce is served separately, and trust it is a great hit.

How to Make Dragon Chicken

Ingredients

  • Chili oil 4 tbsp
  • Garlic 2 tbsp (chopped)
  • Honey 4 tbsp
  • Chili powder 1 tsp
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Orange-red color 1 pinch
  • Vinegar 2 tbsp
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Chili garlic sauce 2 tbsp
  • Sesame seeds 1 tbsp

For Marination

  • Chicken breast 250g (julienne cut)
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • White pepper ½ tsp
  • Egg 1
  • Corn flour 2 tbsp
  • Flour 2 tbsp
  • For Chili oil
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp
  • Crushed red chili 1 tsp

For Sauce

  • Chili oil 2 tbsp
  • Chili garlic sauce 2 tsp
  • Soya sauce 1 tsp
  • Tomato ketchup ¼ cup
  • Chicken stock/water ¼ cup
  • Honey 2 tsp
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinade chicken with marination ingredients for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil, fry and keep aside.
  3. In a pan, heat chili oil. Fry garlic till golden brown.
  4. Now add honey, chili powder, sugar, orange red color, vinegar, salt, and chili garlic sauce. Sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add fried chicken and mix it well so the chicken is coated with sauce.
  6. Sprinkle sesame seeds and serve with rice.
For Chili Oil
  1. Heat oil till smoking hot.
  2. Remove from flame and allow to warm.
  3. Mix in red chili powder and crushed red chili. Cover and leave overnight at room temperature.
  4. Strain oil in a bottle and use according to requirement.
For Sauce
  1. In a wok, add all sauce ingredients except salt and cook until thick. Adjust salt according to taste. Remove from heat and let it cool.
